We use Aviationexam as the platform for tracking our theory department. Lesson scheduling, attendance recording, progress tests, final school exams and recommendations for official exams are all tracked within Aviationexam. Additionally, students can choose to have access to the question database for question training to complement their studies and learning and to prepare for exams.
On occasion, we issue study plans to guide students through their learning and complement the content of a lesson or guide self study through a long break during holidays for example.
Students love flagging questions for later, and being able to use the explanations feature. This way they have a first aid tool to help clarify questions before having to reach out for instructor support. The app is very popular too. For us as an ATO, monitoring how much a student has prepared for an exam helps to diagnose the root cause of potential issues, and at a broader basis, helps us tailor weak areas that should be addressed in the classroom.
We like very much the Lectures and Rooms module where we can book classrooms and record attendance rather easily.
We like also the possibility to select standard EASA settings for creating exams, which gives expectations to the students of how they should prepare and what to anticipate in exams in terms of time and amount of questions, to simulate as close as possible the real exams.
